Muscat, - During a phone call with James Cleverly, the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, today stressed the importance of taking urgent, concrete measures to stop Israel’s war on Gaza and to focus on opening humanitarian corridors to address the life-threatening catastrophe experienced by civilians in Gaza.
The two ministers exchanged views about the ongoing Israeli military escalation in Gaza Strip, leading to more civilian casualties. They stressed the need to respect the international law and end the cycle of violence.
The ministers also reiterated the international community's stance on achieving comprehensive peace in accordance with the Two-State Solution.
Sayyid Badr expressed his strong denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting of Jabalia camp in Gaza Strip, which, he said, led to the death and injury of hundreds of civilians. He urged the Security Council to put an immediate end to the crisis and Israel’s inhumane practices against the Palestinian people.
