The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, discussed the provincial elections and the internal situation in the region.

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan website stated that, in the presence of Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the delegation of the PUK held a joint meeting with the delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Permam.

Salar Sarhad, head of the Kurdish relations file for the PUK, said: "Today's meeting will be a continuation of the previous meetings that aim to discuss a number of files of common interest."

He added, "The issue of the provincial council elections, the internal situation in the Kurdistan region, and relations with Baghdad will be another focus of the meeting."
