The Rafah land crossing will resume operation on Sunday for foreign passport holders

Gaza - Together - The General Authority for Crossings and Borders in Gaza announced the resumption of the operation of the Rafah land crossing on Sunday, November 12, for the crossing of those whose names were included in the lists of foreign passport holders, which were announced since November 1, 2023.

Earlier, Cairo News Channel reported that 30 aid trucks had arrived in the Gaza Strip via the Rafah land crossing, adding that 16 injured people had arrived from the Gaza Strip to Egypt via the Rafah crossing to receive treatment.

Sources said, "Evacuation operations from the Gaza Strip to Egypt for foreigners and Palestinians who need urgent medical treatment stopped last Friday."

It is noteworthy that the joint Arab-Islamic summit held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, today, the participating presidents stressed the necessity of breaking the siege on the Gaza Strip, and opening humanitarian corridors to bring aid to the people of the Strip.

This comes at a time when the Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the government media office in Gaza said in a statement, “Today is the day of war against Al-Rantisi and Al-Nasr Children’s Hospitals, the Mental Health Hospital, and Al-Quds Hospital.”

The statement added, "Today is the day of war on Al-Shifa Medical Complex, which is being subjected to heavy fire from the occupation planes, which are roaming the airspace of the medical complex, in conjunction with besieging the hospital from all sides, and targeting everyone who leaves it or everyone who moves inside it."

He stressed that "the stifling occupation siege of the hospital made the sick, the wounded, the displaced, medical staff, and premature babies a target for the Nazi occupation army, in conjunction with the cutting of water, electricity, and food from the complex, and it being out of service."
