Baquba / -A force from the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out a clearing operation on the banks of the “Khurisan River” in Diyala.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency : “The operation to clear the banks of the Khuraisan River, northeast of Baqubah, included searching more than 500 dunums of agricultural land and orchards.”

He added: “The operation achieved its set goals, and resulted in the seizure of an ISIS hideout containing weapons and explosives, securing agricultural roads and strengthening the security presence in the vicinity of the liberated villages near the banks of the Khurasan River.”
