The Moroccan Ministry of Interior announced that the number of victims of the devastating earthquake had risen to 2,946 deaths, 2,944 of whom were buried, and 5,674 injured.

A statement from the ministry stated, on Wednesday, that the number of deaths reached 1,684 in Al Haouz province, and 980 cases in Taroudant province, while no new deaths were recorded in the remaining cities and provinces concerned.

The statement explained that the competent authorities are continuing their efforts to care for the injured, shelter those affected, deliver food and health aid to them, and secure traffic on the roads damaged by the earthquake, while at the same time mobilizing all necessary capabilities to address the effects of this painful tragedy.
