Baghdad -Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi stressed the necessity of respecting international conventions regarding the current events in occupied Palestine.
During his meeting with the Deputy Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Ali Ghulam, the Minister stressed the importance of respecting international laws and conventions regarding the current events in Palestine, since what is happening in the Gaza Strip is contrary to human norms and values after places of worship, hospitals and churches were targeted.
He stressed the need for "the United Nations to have a position on this matter by affirming commitment to international law, conventions and agreements."
For his part, the Deputy Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq affirmed full support for all sectors of the Ministry, whether in the areas of work, training, health and occupational safety, in a way that contributes to improving services for all segments of the Ministry.
