Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development is hosting a two-day forum titled 'Digital Citizenship: Present Day Reality and Future Prospect'. The event, which commenced today, aims to delve into contemporary studies and research concerning the principles of digital citizenship.
According to Oman News Agency, the forum is being held under the patronage of Dr. Badr bin Hamoud Al Kharousi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education. It seeks to enhance public understanding of digital citizenship and examine its future in light of ongoing digital advancements.
The forum will discuss the critical role of institutions in fostering the values associated with digital citizenship. It will highlight successful models and initiatives, aiming to generate recommendations and initiatives that support the development of a secure and responsible digital environment for citizens.
Additionally, the forum represents the Ministry's commitment to strengthening the collaboration between the government sector, academic circles, and the community.
