Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, on Tuesday received at the Council’s headquarters, the Ambassador of Belgium to Lebanon, Koen Vervaeke. Discussions reportedly touched on the bilateral relations between the two countries and the means to bolster them. Talks also touched on the current general situation in Lebanon and the region. Sheikh Al-Khatib wished the Belgian Ambassador success in strengthening cooperation ties between Lebanon, Belgium and the EU.
