Duqm: The management of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) is pressing ahead with road construction, an example of which is Al Watani Carriageway No. 32, of which 34.5 percent has been completed. The 16-km dual carriageway extends from Duqm Refinery on the north of the wilayat to the southern entrance of Duqm's central strip. The first phase of the project includes the construction of 6 lanes, 3 on each side of the 120-metre wide road. A median separates the opposite directions of the carriageway, which is fitted with shoulder tracks on either side. Service roads, having a total length of 23-km, join the carriageway. Each service road is 7.3 metres wide. Road 32 is considered the main traffic zone that serves the whole layout of SEZAD road network.
