President of Iran Commences Official Visit to Oman

Muscat: President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived today in the Sultanate of Oman on a two-day official visit. HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, led the welcoming party for the Iranian President and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival at the Royal Airport.

According to Oman News Agency, HH Sayyid Shihab welcomed the President of Iran, wishing him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay and a successful visit. The welcoming party also included Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and Head of the Mission of Honour, along with Ibrahim Ahmed Al Muaini, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mousa Farhang, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman, members of Iran’s embassy in Muscat, and the Mission of Honour accompanying the guest were also present.

The Iranian President is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohsen Haji-Mirzaei, Head of the President’s Office, and Mohammad Atabek, Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, who is the Head of the Iranian side in the Oman-Iran Economic Cooperation Joint Committee. The delegation further includes Air Commodore Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defence and Logistics of the Armed Forces, Amin Hossein Rahimi, Minister of Justice, Ahmad Meydari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, Gholamhossein Zarei, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Mohammad-Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Masoumeh Aghapour Alishahi, Advisor to the President for Economic Cooperation Affairs, Mousa Farhang, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman, and several officials from the Iranian government.
