PM’s Advisor: The PM Adopts Strict Standards Of Integrity As A Basis For Selecting Security Leaders

The political advisor to the Prime Minister, Fadi Al-Shammari, confirmed that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, adopts strict standards of integrity as a basis for selecting security leaders.

Al-Shammari said in a statement: "The economy and development are closely linked with security stability and the provision of the foundations for growth, economic development and urban renaissance in the country," noting: "The vision of the Prime Minister, Muhammad al-Sudani, is to perpetuate the wheel of reconstruction in the liberated governorates by ending the manifestations of corruption that mars reconstruction projects and work to establish infrastructure and implement strategic projects that have a direct impact on the citizen.

He added, "Al-Sudani adopts strict standards of integrity, accumulated experience, and independence from political work as a basis for selecting security leaders in the joints of the security ministries, the national security agencies, the intelligence agencies, and the security leaders in the Iraqi governorates."

He explained: "Imposing security and combating terrorism require a comprehensive and multidimensional strategy, which includes an accurate analysis of security threats, strengthening close cooperation between the various security agencies, strengthening intelligence and monitoring capabilities in the governorates and pushing new blood into the joints of the security ministries."

Al-Shammari confirmed: "The appointment of Major General Muhammad Rashid Salih as Commander of the Anbar Police and Brigadier General Zahir Mahmoud Yassin Al-Alwani as Director of Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism in the province was based on qualifications, competence, career progression, and the ability to deal with the various security challenges facing the dear province of Anbar in an integrated manner with the development sustainable security system in all Iraqi governorates.”
