PM Receives Syrian and Turkish Transport Ministers to Enhance Regional Cooperation

Amman: Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan on Tuesday received Syrian Minister of Transport, Dr. Ya'rub Badr, and Turkish Minister of Transport, Abdulkadir Uralo?lu, in the presence of Jordanian Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Qatamin. During this meeting, the officials emphasized the significance of the trilateral meeting held in Amman as a pivotal step towards enhancing regional cooperation in land and maritime transport sectors, trade, logistics, and rail connectivity.

According to Jordan News Agency, discussions during the meeting centered on activating cooperation agreements among the three countries and establishing mechanisms for implementing joint projects and exchanging expertise in various transport fields, with the aim of serving common economic interests. This initiative marks a concerted effort to foster stronger economic ties through improved transport infrastructure and collaboration.

The Joint Ministerial Committee for Cooperation in the Field of Transport between Jordan, Syria, and Turkey held a meeting in the capital Amman on Tuesday. This gathering witnessed participation from representatives of the public and private sectors, alongside experts in the transport and logistics fields, highlighting the collaborative approach being undertaken by the three nations.

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation and integration in the joint transport sector. This MoU is expected to pave the way for enhanced connectivity and economic collaboration in the region.
