PM receives a ‘joint’ invitation to participate in the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference for Gaza

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received an invitation to participate in the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference for Gaza, hosted by the Jordanian capital, Amman.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: ‘The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Baghdad, Zaid Abdul Karim Abu Hassan, delivered the head of the Arab Department in the Ministry, Osama Mahdi Ghanem, a joint invitation letter addressed to Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani from the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, to participate in the work of the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference in Gaza, hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During the meeting, according to the statement, the two sides also discussed: ‘The continued repercussions of the aggression launched by the ‘Israeli’ entity against the Pa
lestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in clear violation of the provisions of international and humanitarian law.’

The head of the head of the Arab Department in the Ministry affirmed the firm position of the Iraqi government and people towards the Palestinian issue.

During the meeting, preparations for holding the meetings of the thirtieth session of the joint Iraqi-Jordanian committee were discussed.
