Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed that “Al-Faw port project cannot be viewed in isolation from the Development Road Project in all its details.”

Al-Sudani said, while chairing the fourth meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Implementation of the Development Road and Al-Faw Port Project: “Any agreement or vision to operate Al-Faw Port, after its completion, must take into consideration the requirements for operating the Development Road,” stressing the importance of adhering to the timetables prepared in advance and according to what had been planned with details for the main and secondary projects.

The meeting witnessed the expression of comments regarding the vision presented by the Ministry of Transport for the optimal method of managing the port, and it was supported by the Supreme Committee for Project Implementation and approval was given regarding its adoption.
