Pakistan: Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced today that Pakistan will host the signing ceremony of the landmark agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran to end the three-month-old war, with the ceremony set to take place in Geneva.
According to Oman News Agency, Sharif addressed the National Assembly after announcing the agreement, stating: 'The signing ceremony of this historic agreement will be held next Friday in Geneva and Pakistan will be the host country for this ceremony.' He highlighted the significance of the event and the role of Pakistan in facilitating the peace process.
Sharif noted that both sides had declared an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon. He emphasized the importance of this development in achieving peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan's Prime Minister expressed to the National Assembly that the world had achieved a significant milestone on the path to peace. He stated that 'after three months and 16 days of tireless efforts, the United States and Iran have announced an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations, including in Lebanon,' underscoring the efforts made to reach this agreement.
