Singapore: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the 2026 edition of the Asian food and hospitality exhibition 'Food and Hospitality Asia (FHA) 2026', which commenced in Singapore earlier today. Omani companies operating in the sectors of food, beverage, and hospitality are part of this significant 4-day event, renowned as one of Asia's prominent specialized platforms. It gathers a high-level group of decision-makers, investors, and innovators from around the globe.
According to Oman News Agency, the exhibition offers opportunities for establishing partnerships and exchanging expertise in food industry technologies. This year's edition features over 2,750 exhibitors from 115 countries. It is expected to attract more than 80,000 visitors, showcasing the latest innovations in food and beverage production, hospitality technology, and sustainable solutions.
Mahmoud bin Suleiman Al Yazidi, Head of the Department of Export Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, stated that Oman's participation aligns with efforts by the Ministry to facilitate access for Omani non-oil exports to promising Asian markets. He emphasized that the exhibition serves as a platform for promoting Omani products and fostering direct partnerships with international investors and suppliers.
Jawahir bint Nasser Al Rashidi, Export Specialist at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, noted that the Omani pavilion at the exhibition underscores the competitive potential of local food industries and their advanced rate of innovation. She observed that this contributes to the expansion of local food industries in global markets and enables them to keep pace with rapid developments in supply chains and technologies related to the food industry sector.
Omani companies participating in the event aim to enhance their international presence by showcasing top-quality products, gaining direct networking opportunities with business partners in the Asia-Pacific region, and staying informed about technological advancements in food production, supply chains, and modern culinary arts.
