Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman today joined the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of the Union: The Sultanate of Oman today joined the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of the Union. A ceremony to this effect was organized at Al Wajajah border crossing by the Secretariat General for National Celebrations.

According to Oman News Agency, the event was held in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and witnessed the participation of Omani citizens. At the outset of the ceremony, a reception was held for UAE officers, officials, and citizens, who were greeted and congratulated by Omanis on this national occasion.

A concert was presented by the band of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), followed by four musical performances by Omani singers. The public was also entertained by Omani folk troupes, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

The celebration concluded with a national song whose lyrics symbolized the deep-r
ooted historical bonds, good neighborliness, and family ties between the two countries.
