Oman Participates in INCOSAI Congress of International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions

Sharm el sheikh: Represented by the State Audit Institution (SAI), the Sultanate of Oman is taking part in the 25th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI), being held in Sharm El Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, under the auspices of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the conference is headed by Sheikh Ghosn bin Hilal Al Alawi, Chairman of the State Audit Institution (SAI).

According to Oman News Agency, the conference looks into follow-up reports, including the report of the INTOSAI chairman, the report of the Supervisory Committee on Emerging Issues, the report of the INTOSAI Secretary General, and the report of the Chair of the Policy, Finance and Administration Committee (PFAC), in addition to reports of meetings of main committees affiliated to the organization.

The conference sessions include the discussion of reports submitted by regional organizations of supreme audit institutions, including reports by the ARABOSAI and AFROSA, the INTOSAI auditors’ report, the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI)’s report, and the report of the International Journal of Government Auditing.

The conference will conclude with the election of members of the INTOSAI Board of Directors and INTOSAI auditors, as well as the announcement of the venue for the next INCOSAI conference.

The INCOSAI conference brings together all affiliate members of the INTOSAI organization. The conference’s plenary session is held every three years under the chairmanship of the audit body of the country hosting the event. It is also attended by representatives from the United Nations, the World Bank, and other international organizations engaged in auditing.
