Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the 35th meeting of GCC Justice Ministers, convened in Kuwait today. The Omani delegation was led by Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sa’eedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs.
According to Oman News Agency, the ministerial gathering addressed initiatives aimed at strengthening legal and judicial collaboration across GCC nations. Key discussion points included developing a comprehensive framework for enhanced cooperation between justice ministries, advancing Oman’s proposal for greater judicial integration among member states, and establishing unified regulations to combat discrimination, hate speech, and religious intolerance throughout the Gulf region.
Delegates further examined draft legislation concerning unified cybersecurity crime regulations for GCC states, evaluated recommendations for judicial and legal training institutions within member countries, and reviewed the 2025 report on international cooperation and foreign relations conducted by GCC justice ministries.
