Oman Olympic Committee Organizes “Promising Talents” Forum in Dhofar

Muscat: Oman Olympic Committee, represented by the Omani Athletes' Committee, in collaboration with Oman School Sports Association, organized the "Promising Talents" Forum in Dhofar Governorate over a two-day period.

According to Oman News Agency, a number of young athletes participated in the forum, which is part of the Committee's ongoing efforts to disseminate the culture of the Olympic movement and familiarize athletes with the values and principles underpinning Olympic sport.

The forum addressed several themes related to the journey of the promising athlete, including athlete protection, Olympic values and ethics, the concept of building the champion of the future, along with the development of success skills required by athletes both on and off the field, and enhancing their ability to navigate the various stages of their athletic careers.

The programme also featured inspirational experiences through meetings with a number of seasoned athletes, who shared their personal journeys, career milestones, and lessons learned - offering valuable insights that can be drawn upon in shaping the athletic trajectory of emerging talents.

The forum concluded with an open discussion session with the athletes, providing them with the opportunity to raise inquiries and share their perspectives on the various topics covered throughout the programme, while exchanging ideas and experiences in an interactive atmosphere.
