Oman Engages in 29th OPCW Conference of State Parties.

The Hague: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the 29th session of the Conference of State Parties to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) held in The Hague. The Omani delegation is represented by Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Salim Al Harthy, the country’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its Permanent Representative to the OPCW, alongside Saleh Yahya Al Maskari, Head of the Department of Global Affairs at the Foreign Ministry.

According to Oman News Agency, Oman is scheduled to deliver a statement regarding the organization’s request to investigate the potential use of chemical weapons by Israel during its conflict with Palestine and Lebanon. The statement will also include an appeal to OPCW member states to emphasize the importance of achieving the agreement’s objectives and fostering peaceful cooperation among the member states.
