Oman Endorses PLO’s New Vice President Position for Palestine

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has officially welcomed the recent decision by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee to create the position of Vice-President of the Executive Committee and Vice-President of the State of Palestine, appointing Hussein Al Sheikh to this role.

According to Oman News Agency, Oman’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement congratulating Hussein Al Sheikh on his appointment, expressing their wishes for his success in fulfilling his responsibilities. The statement reflects Oman’s support for this initiative, viewing it as a positive step towards strengthening Palestinian unity.

The Sultanate of Oman further expressed its hope that this development would aid in achieving the Palestinians’ legitimate aspirations, including the establishment of an independent state and securing all their rights.
