Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is all set to participate in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan. Oman’s pavilion will occupy an area of 1,763.22 square meters and showcase 33 activities.
According to Oman News Agency, at a press conference held today, the General Commission for the Sultanate of Oman’s Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka stated that the pavilion’s design is inspired by Oman’s natural environment and terrain diversity. The design, a result of the Belarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design, reflects the Omani people’s adaptation to their natural surroundings, focusing on the elements of land, water, and people.
Reem Said Al Shanfari, a member of the Omani pavilion’s team and International Communication Officer, presented a visual presentation explaining that the pavilion will focus on communication, tourism, investment opportunities, cultural identity, international relations, and partnerships. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Saif Bani Oraba, rapporteur of the technical committee of the Omani pavilion, mentioned that the programme will include 33 activities from 6 April to 13 October 2025.
Bani Oraba highlighted that Oman’s participation will provide an opportunity to exchange expertise with countries worldwide in cultural and technological areas. Over 300 Omani small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will participate, showcasing their products on a digital platform and online store.
Expo 2025 Osaka will take place from 13 April to 13 October 2025 in Osaka, Japan, under the slogan ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’. The event will host 155 countries and is expected to attract 28.2 million visitors.
