Muscat: Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), received a delegation from the Russian Federation headed by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development. During their meeting, they explored means to enhance economic and investment cooperation between Oman and Russia.
According to Oman News Agency, discussions focused on promising investment potentials and opportunities that align with the priorities of both Oman and Russia. The two sides reviewed existing areas of cooperation in vital sectors and discussed ways to enhance partnerships in key investment fields, particularly in energy, infrastructure, logistics, food security, and information technology.
The parties also emphasized the need to expand the scope of economic cooperation and strengthen the role of public and private sectors to achieve economic integration and support sustainable development efforts in both nations. The meeting highlighted the importance of reinforcing economic and investment partnerships, opening new avenues for cooperation, and advancing mutual interests.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Oman, along with officials from Oman Investment Authority and chief executives of several companies affiliated with the Authority.
