Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and investment opportunities between the two sides during a meeting held today in Muscat. The discussions were led by Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, and Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry in the State of Qatar, with the presence of Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and several officials from both countries.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring opportunities to expand areas of joint cooperation and investment across priority economic sectors. Discussions included ways to build strategic partnerships between Oman Investment Authority, its companies, and Qatari institutions and companies. The aim is to achieve mutual interests and support economic diversification targets in Oman and Qatar.
The meeting also addressed the investment potential available in both the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar. Opportunities for development were identified across various priority sectors, particularly in logistics and land and maritime transport. The meeting emphasized exchanging expertise, enhancing communication between affiliated companies, and identifying feasible projects to establish sustainable investment partnerships.
Both sides affirmed the importance of continued coordination and joint action. They agreed to explore further investment opportunities, benefiting from the competitive assets and expertise of institutions and companies in both countries.
