The Olympic Flame will ignite in ancient Olympia on April 16, heralding the start of its journey to Paris for the thirty-third modern Olympic Games opening on July 26. The Paris 2024 flame lighting and handover ceremony launches a momentous journey across Greece before reaching France. After a symbolic handover in Athens the flame will embark on a maritime voyage to Marseille aboard the "Belem,'. The torch relay across France will engage communities for two months, visiting landmarks like Lascaux, Carcassonne, Versailles, and Mont Saint-Michel. Over 10,000 torchbearers will carry the flame through 400 towns and cities, including overseas territories like Guadeloupe and French Polynesia, before reaching Paris for the grand opening. Source: Oman News Agency Riyadh, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed with Foreign Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in addition to the latest developments in the region. Mikdad stressed the need to push relations between the two brotherly countries forwards on all levels in the interest of both peoples. He also affirmed significance of coordination and consultation to contribute to boosting joint Arab action and cooperation to find solutions to the challenges facing the region, especially in Gaza and rest of the Occupied Palestinian territories whose people are facing genocide, seige, starvation and mass displacement by the Israeli occupation entity. The two ministers also discussed Syria's efforts to follow up the work of the Arab Liaison Committee on Syria and the good preparation for the next meeting of the Liaison Committee to be held in Baghdad.
