Muscat: Oil prices edged lower today as investors awaited the outcome of negotiations between the United States and Iran, despite persistent concerns over potential supply disruptions in the Middle East. Brent crude fell 0.4 percent to $110.83 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate declined 0.3 percent to $103.88 per barrel.
According to Oman News Agency, the dip followed remarks from US officials suggesting progress in talks with Tehran. Prices remain vulnerable to volatility amid geopolitical tensions and the risk of supply disruptions through key sea lanes. US data also showed crude inventories falling for a fifth consecutive week.
