North A’Sharqiyah: The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Directorate General of Labour in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, has launched the Occupational Safety and Health Initiative. This initiative is a follow-up to the recommendations from the Occupational Safety and Health Symposium held in the governorate in May of the previous year.
According to Oman News Agency, Eng. Ishaq Jumaa Al Kharousi, Director General of Labour in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, emphasized that the initiative aims to enhance awareness regarding the significance of adhering to occupational safety and health requirements. This is targeted at both public and private sector institutions across the governorate. The initiative also seeks to foster a secure, stable, and sustainable workplace environment by implementing several recommendations from the symposium, such as activating evacuation plans and recruiting specialists in occupational safety and health.
The launch event witnessed the presence of Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, the Governor of North A’Sharqiyah, along with various officials from the governorate.
