The governor of Nineveh, Najm al-Jubouri, denied the news about his arrest that circulated on some pages, describing it as slander campaigns aimed at distorting and disturbing public opinion.

Al-Jubouri said in a press statement that he is fine and is in the capital, Baghdad, to follow up on some important matters related to Nineveh, and the news of his arrest is not true at all.

Some pages on the communication sites mentioned that the Federal Integrity Commission arrested Governor Najm Al-Jubouri at Baghdad International Airport and began to investigate him on charges of corruption.
