Baghdad, The New York Times reported that the Israeli strike on the Jabalia camp was carried out with two bombs weighing more than 900 kg each.
According to the New York Times, an analysis of satellite images, photos and videos shows that Israel used 2,000-pound (900 kg) bombs in the attack on the Jabalia camp, a densely populated area north of Gaza City.
The newspaper added: "Israel's use of these bombs, the second largest type in its arsenal, in a densely populated area such as Jabalia, has raised questions about whether the intended targets justify the number of civilian deaths and the destruction caused by its strikes."
The width of the two craters caused by the explosion is “about 40 feet,” which dimensions are “compatible with the explosions that this type of weapon may produce in light sandy soil,” according to a technical study conducted by the munitions research company “Armament” in 2016.
