Muscat: The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT) held its periodic meeting today, chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs and Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking.
According to Oman News Agency, during the meeting, the committee members welcomed the issuance of the new Anti-Human Trafficking Law and discussed its prominent provisions and its role in enhancing the committee’s efforts. The discussions centered on the latest developments regarding the implementation of the National Action Plan for Combating Human Trafficking in the Sultanate of Oman (2024-2026).
The committee reviewed the level of achievement within the action plan, highlighting the ongoing “Aman” (Safety) Campaign. Member entities also shared their efforts and activities aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of countering human trafficking.
