Abu Dhabi:Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) has been recognized as the 'Arab Exchange with the Highest Dividend Yield', highlighting its strong market performance and growth in key indicators.
According to Oman News Agency, this accolade was awarded during the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM) Annual Conference 2026, which was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).
The Muscat Stock Exchange's performance has been notable, with the "MSX30" index recording a 29 percent increase since the start of 2026, maintaining its lead among Gulf market indices. In 2025, MSX achieved an annual return of 28.2 percent, the highest in the GCC markets, as reported by the Arab Federation of Capital Markets.
Furthermore, trading value on the Muscat Stock Exchange surpassed RO 9 billion in 2026, marking a growth of over 300 percent from the same period in 2025. The market capitalization of listed companies increased to approximately RO 39 billion, a 22 percent rise compared to 2025.
During 2026, the average daily trading value reached about RO 52 million, an increase of over 150 percent compared to 2025, indicating enhanced liquidity and investor activity. The net profits of companies listed on MSX rose by 12 percent in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, demonstrating improved financial performance and market growth.
In 2025, MSX recorded the highest dividend yield among Arab stock exchanges at 5.2 percent, alongside the "MSX30" index leading Gulf markets. This award reflects the exchange's ongoing efforts to enhance market efficiency, infrastructure, liquidity, and investor base, strengthening its competitive edge both regionally and internationally.
