Musandam Youth Forum Concludes with Visionary Plans for Future

Musandam: The “Musandam Youth Forum 2025” program concluded today, gathering extensive participation from Musandam youth across several specialties and fields, alongside numerous officials and representatives from government entities. The event was organized by the Directorate of Culture, Sports and Youth in Musandam Governorate.

According to Oman News Agency, the forum is part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth’s efforts to enhance youth involvement in national development. It aims to provide broader spaces for dialogue and interaction with government institutions, thus strengthening the role of youth in the development process. The forum offered a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, supporting cooperation among participants, and equipping them with personal and professional skills to contribute effectively to society.

Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al Mulla Al Shehhi, Director of Culture, Sports and Youth in Musandam Governorate, emphasized that engaging youth in shaping their future visions is a priority. He highlighted that the forum provides an open space to introduce the role and services of government institutions, which aids in bridging the gap between citizens and officials. The initiative also reinforces national identity and instills the values of citizenship among school and university students.

The two-day forum featured interactive workshops, brainstorming sessions, and exhibitions of youth initiatives. Literary segments, including poetry recitation, were part of a program designed to move away from the traditional nature of youth events.

The forum concluded with a final statement that included several recommendations. These involved establishing a youth platform for knowledge exchange in education, sciences, arts, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It also suggested implementing training programs and workshops to develop personal and professional skills, providing opportunities to learn about international experiences in various sectors, supporting job opportunities and youth projects aligned with labor market needs, and investing in technology to offer innovative solutions to challenges faced by youth. Additionally, it focused on highlighting and marketing outstanding youth models at local and regional levels.
