MSX Climbs 54 Points as Trading Value Declines

Muscat: The MSX 30 Index concluded today’s session at 5,915.73 points, gaining 54.9 points, or 0.94 percent, compared to the previous close of 5,860.80 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the total trading value reached RO 40,769,158, reflecting a drop of 12.2 percent from the previous session’s value of RO 46,414,168. A report issued by the Muscat Stock Exchange indicated that the total market capitalization increased by 0.441 percent from the last trading day, reaching approximately RO 32.13 billion.

The purchase value by non-Omani investors amounted to RO 3,816,000, representing 9.36 percent of the total trading value. Their sales value stood at RO 4,625,000, accounting for 11.35 percent. As a result, the net investment by non-Omani investors rose by RO 810,000, a decrease of 1.99 percent.
