Muscat: The innovative hydrogen company “HydroNova,” registered with the SMEs Development Authority ‘Riyada’ and specializing in clean energy, has successfully implemented the use of “Green Hydrogen” in diesel-powered equipment. This includes applications in heavy machinery such as trucks, forklifts, and electric generators, leading to a reduction in carbon emissions and a decrease in fuel consumption.

According to Oman News Agency, the establishment of HydroNova signifies a transformation in the future of clean energy. It stands as the first local enterprise to develop and apply practical hydrogen solutions across various sectors using smart and clean technologies that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.

This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to achieving sustainability and reaching net-zero carbon neutrality by 2050. The focus is on reducing carbon emissions, lowering fuel consumption, enhancing equipment efficiency, and minimizing maintenance intervals.
