Baghdad, The President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayad Al-Lami, saluted the Egyptian people for their great efforts to lift the siege imposed on the people of Gaza.

Al-Lami said in a tweet on Twitter: “Greetings to the honorable Egyptian people and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the great effort made to deliver medical, food and other aid and for exerting pressure in all directions to lift the siege on the honorable people of Gaza despite all the intransigence and arrogance with which the occupation deals.”

He added that the position of the honorable Egyptian people and President Sisi is a matter of pride for us, as is the position of other peoples who supported our people in Gaza, Arab and non-Arab, foremost of which is the popular and official Iraqi position.

He continued: “I saw directly the extent of popular support in Egypt during my two visits to Cairo during the past few days to chair the meetings of the General Secretariat of the Federation of Arab Journalists, and we took strong and important decisions, including going to international courts, as well as helping the families of the martyrs of the press, the wounded, and other decisions that support the Palestinian right.”
