Medical City Hosts ICTIH 2026 to Explore Technological Advancements in Healthcare

Muscat: The Medical City for Military and Security Services today organized an international conference focusing on the integration of technology and innovation within the health sector, known as 'ICTIH 2026'. The event was inaugurated under the auspices of Sayyid Dr. Sultan bin Ya'rub Al Busaidi, Adviser at the Private Office, and saw the attendance of ministers, senior government officials, military commanders, senior officers, and specialists.

According to Oman News Agency, the conference, held in the Muscat Governorate, provided a platform to review the latest global innovations in digital transition, artificial intelligence (AI), smart systems, operational efficiency, and human resource development within the health sector. These discussions highlighted how these elements could collectively contribute to achieving higher quality, sustainability, and the establishment of a more patient-oriented healthcare system.

The event emphasized the importance of partnerships between public and private sectors, academic institutions, and global companies in developing health services. Such collaborations are essential in supporting innovation and transferring knowledge, aligning with 'Oman Vision 2040'. This vision notably aims to build a knowledge economy and develop an advanced health sector.
