Major General Rasool: Large Quantities Of Humanitarian Aid Are Ready To Be Sent To Gaza

Baghdad / -The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahia Rasool, announced today, Friday, the preparation of large quantities of humanitarian aid to be sent to the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip as part of the “Iraqi help to Al-Aqsa” campaign.

Major General Rasool said in a statement to the official agency: “With the grace of God Almighty and the determination of the Iraqi people and their interaction with the suffering of the brothers in Palestine, the committee formed under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces received quantities of aid and donations for the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip, as part of a campaign called (Iraqi help for Al-Aqsa).”

He added, “Humanitarian aid and donations have arrived through citizens, companies, and organizations, and now we have large quantities of aid ready to be sent through the Iraqi Red Crescent. There is continuous coordination with the Egyptian authorities to send these donations through the Rafah crossing, and they will be sent during the coming period.”
