MUSCAT: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science, and Bank Nizwa, in collaboration with Oman National Investments Development Company, have announced the launch of the ‘Ishraq Endowment Investment Fund’ with an initial capital of RO 10 million. The launch event was held under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
According to Oman News Agency, the Fund aims to provide innovative investment opportunities that adhere to Sharia principles, supporting both financial goals and community welfare. This initiative aligns with national objectives to empower society and promote sustainable development. The Fund is designed to enhance the developmental and investment roles within Oman’s endowment sector and contribute positively to social and economic sustainability.
Furthermore, the Fund enables individuals, companies, and endowment establishments to engage in charitable endeavors and community proj
ects that uphold Islamic values. This initiative reflects the government’s ongoing efforts, spearheaded by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, to bolster the endowment investment sector. The ultimate goal is to support comprehensive development and foster societal advancement across various sectors.
