Iraq’s oil exports to America increased during the past week


The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced that Iraq’s oil exports to America increased during the past week.

The EIA said in a table that “the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from 9 major countries amounted to 5.554 million barrels per day, down by 420 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, which amounted to 5.974 million barrels per day.”

It added that “Iraq’s oil exports to America amounted to 178 thousand barrels per day last week, up by 28 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, which amounted to 150 thousand barrels per day.”

It explained that “most of America’s oil imports during the past week came from Canada, followed by Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, and then Saudi Arabia,” while “the US imports of crude oil continued from Libya, Nigeria, and Brazil, according to the table.”
