The Ministry of Interior announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of the killer of a truck driver in Basra.

A statement by the Ministry stated, "In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, to pursue wanted and outlaws, the Intelligence Agency received urgent appeals via social media, stating that a truck driver was killed and his truck was stolen in Basra Governorate, and immediately a technical intelligence team was formed, and with a tight ambush, the killer was arrested and the stolen truck was seized.”

The statement added, "a record of the legal seizure of the vehicle and the crime weapon was organized, and the accused was referred to the concerned authorities to complete the investigation."

The Intelligence Agency called on the honorable citizens to provide information on all outlaws, by calling the free hotline 144.
