Muscat: Sayyid Hamoud Faisal Al Busaidi, the Minister of Interior, received Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, at his office today. The Kuwaiti official is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on the longstanding relations between Oman and Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation to benefit mutual interests. Both sides shared perspectives on several issues of common concern, aiming to strengthen their collaborative efforts.

The meeting was attended by Maj. Gen. Abdullah Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations; Eng. Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior; and Sayyid Khalifa Al Murdas Al Busaidi, Secretary General at the Ministry of Interior. Representing Kuwait were Dr. Mohammed Nassir Al Hajri, Ambassador of Kuwait to Oman; Major General Hamed Manahi Al-Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs; and Major General Khalid Abdulhadi Al Shanfa, Head of the State Security Apparatus.
