Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will go on two state visits to the Republic of Botswana and the Republic of Angola, starting this Wednesday.

According to Oman News Agency, a statement was issued by the Diwan of Royal Court, highlighting that the visits aim to enhance the shared interests between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republics of Botswana and Angola. Scheduled to begin on 16 September 2026, these visits are part of efforts to broaden relations and explore opportunities for cooperation in various fields.

During the visits, discussions will focus on areas of cooperation and the potential to strengthen them, seeking to promote mutually beneficial interactions across different sectors.

His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-level official delegation that includes HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Angola, and Ambassador Ali bin Said Al Kathiri, Charg© d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Republic of South Africa and Supervisor of the Sultanate of Oman's relations with the Republic of Botswana.
