Madrid: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Felipe VI of the Kingdom of Spain and Queen Letizia held a private meeting at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid this evening. The meeting served to deliberate upon several political and economic matters of mutual interest to both nations, during which perspectives were exchanged regarding developments in current regional and international affairs. The discussions further emphasized the paramount importance of broadening the scope of partnership and investment to fortify the economies of both countries.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister. Representing the Spanish side were Jose Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Francisco Javier, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Sultanate of Oman.
