Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today held a phone call with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

According to Oman News Agency, during the telephone conversation, His Majesty the Sultan expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s full solidarity with the State of Qatar, commending its wisdom in containing the repercussions of recent escalation. His Majesty reaffirmed Oman’s categorical rejection of any actions threatening the security of states in the region or compromising their sovereignty and stability.

For his part, the Emir of Qatar expressed pride over the distinguished fraternal relations with the Sultanate of Oman, appreciating the resolute stance articulated by His Majesty the Sultan and valuing Oman’s pivotal, wise role in addressing regional challenges through dialogue and peaceful diplomatic means.
