Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed Luanda today, marking the end of a significant two-day royal visit to the Republic of Angola. The visit demonstrated a commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between Oman and Angola.
According to Oman News Agency, before his departure, His Majesty and Angolan President Joo Manuel Louren§o attended a ceremonial event at the Presidential Palace. The ceremony included the playing of the Royal Anthem of Oman and the Angolan National Anthem. His Majesty then conducted an inspection of the Guard of Honour. Following this, President Louren§o bid farewell to the Omani delegation, and His Majesty reciprocated with the Angolan farewell party.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham extended a cable of thanks and appreciation to President Louren§o, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality. His Majesty highlighted the successful outcomes of the visit, emphasizing the strengthening of partnerships and cooperation between the two nations, and the potential for new opportunities across multiple sectors.
