Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Joo Manuel Louren§o of Angola presided over the exchange of a series of strategic agreements between Oman and Angola at the Presidential Palace in Luanda.
According to Oman News Agency, the state visit facilitated the signing of 5 agreements, 8 memoranda of understanding, and an executive program covering political, economic, and investment sectors. The agreements include mutual visa exemptions for diplomats, technical cooperation, the elimination of double taxation, air transport, and logistics services and defense industries.
The memoranda address political consultations, investment promotion, agriculture, energy partnerships, and renewable energy development, including a 500-megawatt project. Additionally, the countries agreed on a technical cooperation program and a contract for enhancing Luanda's water distribution network.
Omani representatives included Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and other notable officials, while Angola was represented by Minister T©te Ant³nio and several key figures in various sectors.
