HM The Sultan and Jordanian Monarch Urge Collaborative Efforts for Regional Stability

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik engaged in a phone conversation with King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss the urgent need for collaborative efforts to de-escalate regional tensions.

According to Oman News Agency, the discussion between the two leaders focused on the recent developments in the region, especially following US strikes on facilities inside the Islamic Republic of Iran. Sultan Haitham and King Abdullah II highlighted the importance of collective regional and international action, as well as the need for enhanced coordination and consultation, to prevent further escalation and conflict, particularly in the Gaza Strip and concerning the ongoing Israeli-Iranian tensions.

Both leaders underscored the necessity of returning to peaceful dialogue and negotiations to find political solutions to ongoing conflicts. They stressed the importance of adhering to international law to ensure security and stability in the region, aiming to protect its peoples from further risks and adverse consequences.
