Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today received a telephone call from President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The conversation focused on regional escalations amid recent developments and accompanying military tensions, with both leaders emphasizing the importance of maintaining regional security and stability.

According to Oman News Agency, the two leaders stressed the necessity for all parties to exercise restraint, prioritize wisdom and dialogue, and work earnestly to halt the cycle of military escalation. This approach aims to spare the region further tensions and create space for diplomatic solutions.

President Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman’s balanced positions and its role in supporting regional security and de-escalation efforts. He reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to cooperation in preventing further escalation.
