HH Sayyid Asa’ad Arrives in Malaysia to Lead Omani Delegation at GCC-ASEAN Summit

Kuala Lumpur: HH Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, has arrived in Malaysia to lead the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation at the upcoming GCC-ASEAN Summit and the GCC-ASEAN-China Summit. These significant summits are scheduled to take place tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur, aiming to foster cooperation and dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), along with China.

According to Oman News Agency, HH Sayyid Asa’ad and his delegation were warmly welcomed upon their arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The reception was attended by Fahmi Fadzil, Malaysia’s Minister of Communications, Dato Yubazlan bin Haji Yusof, Malaysia’s Chief of Protocol, Sheikh Al Abbas Ibrahim Al Harthy, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Malaysia, as well as several members of the Omani embassy and Malaysian officials. The participation of Oman in these summits underscores the country’s commitment to strengthening international relations and exploring avenues for mutual cooperation with ASEAN and China.
